Starting February with Love: Learning to Let Love In Again

February carries a different kind of energy.
It’s softer.
Slower.
A little more tender.
A little more honest.

It’s the month that asks us to pause long enough to notice the love already around us… and the love we’ve been too busy, too tired, or too guarded to receive.

And I want to start this month with something simple and real:

Love isn’t something you chase.
Love is something you open yourself to.

Whether it’s love from the people in your life, love from the universe, or love from yourself —
it all begins with letting yourself be available for it again.

Letting love in isn’t always easy.

Life teaches us to protect ourselves.
Heartbreak teaches us to be cautious.
Childhood teaches us patterns we didn’t choose.
Adulthood teaches us to keep going even when we’re hurting.

So if love feels complicated for you…
If it feels distant,
or scary,
or overwhelming,
or unfamiliar,

there is nothing wrong with you.
You’re simply human.
You’re simply healing.
You’re simply learning how to let yourself soften again.

This month isn’t about perfect relationships or fairy tales.
It’s about connection.
Honesty.
Safety.
Warmth.
Truth.
Real love — the kind that stays.

Love begins with the smallest moments.

Not grand gestures.
Not perfect communication.
Not Instagram-worthy romance.

Real love shows up in:

  • a friend checking in

  • a child’s laughter

  • someone holding the door for you

  • your cat or dog leaning into your leg

  • your morning coffee brewed just right

  • a breath that feels calmer than yesterday

  • the relief of someone saying, “You’re not alone.”

Love is already here.
Right now.
In ways you may have overlooked because life has been loud.

This month, we slow down enough to see it.

Your February mantra: “I am rich in love and love surrounds me.”

Let this be your reminder:

You don’t have to chase love.
You don’t have to earn love.
You don’t have to perform for love.

You are rich in love because love is not a distant thing.
It’s something you carry,
something you attract,
something you deserve,
something that returns to you again and again — even when you forget.

Love surrounds you more than you think.

Letting love in starts with one small shift.

Try this today:

When someone offers you care, support, kindness, or affection… pause before you push it away.

Don’t deflect.
Don’t minimize.
Don’t say “I’m fine” if you’re not.

Just try to receive it — even if it’s awkward.
Even if it’s new.
Even if your heart isn’t fully open yet.

This is how we begin.
Softly.
Slowly.
Truthfully.

Take 10 seconds and finish this sentence:

“Love showed up for me today when ____.”

It can be tiny.
It can be quiet.
It can be ordinary.

That’s where the real magic lives.

Welcome to February — a month of warmth, connection, softness, and truth.
A month of letting love find you in the small moments.
A month of remembering that you are supported in ways you don't always see.

You are rich in love.
And love truly does surround you.

XOXO
